FRC - FIRST Robotics Competition
An Adrenaline Rush
FRC is the FIRST Robotics Competition...
"a unique varsity sport of the mind designed to help high-school-aged young people discover how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be."
Teams must solve a common problem in six weeks using a standard "kit of parts" and a common set of rules. The robots are then entered in the competitions. Unique things about FRC include that participants play with and learn from the pros, receive plenty of real-world experience, get as much of an adrenaline rush as other varsity sports, and the game rules are a surprise every year.
