Brainstorming

After having an evening to ponder the new challenge, the team met on Sunday for a brainstorming session. Strategies, rules, and strengths/weaknesses were discussed, and the team came up with a mission statement for this year's competition.

The team outlined the individual challenges presented by Breakaway and arrived at a general consensus: we don't want to be solely defensive and instead would like a 'do everything' robot. That basically means:

1. shooting
2. possessing
3. bump climbing
4. ability to right ourselves
5. ability to suspend from the tower

One general strategy (just like real soccer): possess balls (so your opponent can't score) by domination in the midfield....

Everyone created concept sketches and presented them for consideration. All ideas were discussed and analyzed. Prototyping will begin tomorrow.
